The Moselle is a river flowing through France, Luxembourg, and Germany. The source of the Moselle is at the western slope of the Ballon d'Alsace in the Vosges Mountains. The Moselle flows through the Lorraine region, west of the Vosges. Further downstream, in Germany, the Moselle valley forms the division between the Eifel and Hunsrück mountain regions. Its total length from source to mouth is approximately 339 miles.

If you have a child, “Le Parc Napoleon” is definitely the place to go in Thionville. Located only five minutes away from downtown, it is a very peaceful park. It is a nice green area where you can see a lot of grass, trees and flowers; it is a nice contrast with the city center. We can find tennis courts, playground for kids and a nice view to the river “La Moselle”. People like to go there on sunny days to play soccer with friends, throw a Frisbee around or for a bike ride.
