Fitness trails are pretty popular in France, a lot of people enjoy going for a run or a walk, it is calm and natural and usually trees protect from the rain, the sun and the wind. In any type of whether, people are going to be more comfortable in the wood rather than on the street. If it is very hot, it will be cooler and if it rains very hard, people do not get as wet.

 

In my region we are fortunate to have several fitness trails really close to each others; runners do not necessarily like to always run at the same location so it is a big advantage.  As an example, I have three different fitness trails less than 10 minutes away from where I live.

 

Along the trail, you can find little platforms with tips for runners and walkers. You also have pull-ups bars or dips bar for the ones that enjoy lifting weights.
