Come discover the region of "La Lorraine" where I grew up....
Lorraine (German Lothringen) is a region of France encompassing the northeastern departments of Vosges, Meuse, Meurthe-et-Moselle, and Moselle. Lorraine is bounded by the regions of Alsace to the east, Franche-Comté to the south, and Champagne-Ardenne to the west. Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium lie to the north.
Moselle, because of its history is a very much different and german oriented department of France. I personally grew up in Thionville and the capital is Metz; consequently I decided to focus myself on these two cities.
As opposed to Paris or other very famous French cities such as Marseille or Cannes, Metz and Thionville, that I have chosen to show more into details in this website, are two cities that are not as notorious. Yet, these two cities, as you will be able to discover it by browsing this website, are extremely culturally rich. They have been “forgotten” because they are not as touristic but they do deserve to be discovered and, from my personal experience, people who have had the chance to discover them, have been amazed by it their cultural richness.
